DIPLOMAT RESORT AND SPA, FORT LAUDERDALE INDIAN WEDDING PHOTOS
Every year we photograph a few weddings that push the boundaries in originality and personal flare. This Indian wedding certainly fits in that category. Getting an elephant to stroll through a downtown street in Fort Lauderdale is no easy feat! Our bride, Ami, wanted the best of the best and the Eventrics team certainly made sure that happened. From designer cookies to the latest skeleton dancing craze, Ami’s guests and family were well taken care of.

You are viewing Raj & Ami’s Diplomat Hotel Fort Lauderdale Indian wedding photos. Raj & Ami are radiology physicians who initially met in the Tibetan Himalays and then reconnected years later via facebook. Gotta love facebook! The wedding day was held steps from the ocean at a modern designed hotel, the Diplotmat Resort & Spa in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Although, the ceremony was initially supposed to be outdoors, the location switched to indoors due to the weather. We felt bad for Ami because she had planned for so long that the wedding would be outdoors. As a result, we decided that the first look needed be at the original location of where they were supposed to get married This way the photographs would forever reflect her longtime vision. Inside, the ceremony room was decorated with white, red and pink floral and décor arrangements. The guests were served refreshments in their seats and everyone cheerfully settled in. Raj, who had ridden the elephant like a true prince at the baraat, was still in everyone’s immediate thoughts.
It is hard to describe just how elaborate the dancing was that night, but I am certain that every aunty and uncle had a planned routine as well as all of their friends, South Asian and non- South Asian alike! It was very impressive! Ami is warm-hearted and detailed oriented, and Raj is calm and likes to be the jokester.
A perfect match! We always love photographing at the Diplomat Resort and Spa hotel by the water, watching the light reflect off the ocean from morning to night. The movement of clouds can be seen if you stare long enough at the ocean: the waves dazzle and memorize. And we were so lucky to photograph it all!
