FORT LAUDERDALE iNDIAN WEDDING

MARRIOTT HARBOR BEACH

A celebration of color, tradition, family and the ocean.
An Indian wedding at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach is the kind of celebration that gives a photographer a lot to work with — beautiful clothing, intricate jewelry, meaningful traditions, and, of course, the Atlantic Ocean just steps away.

An Indian wedding isn’t really just about the couple.
It’s parents, grandparents, cousins, friends, traditions, photographs, food, music — and somebody’s uncle who somehow knows exactly where everyone should be standing.

It wasn’t just a wedding—it was three days of color, culture, connection, and celebration, bringing two families together in the most beautiful way.

THE CEREMONY

The Harbor Beach Marriott has something that makes the location particularly attractive for wedding photography:
the ocean. You can have a beautiful traditional ceremony surrounded by family and then, a little later, walk onto the beach and have photographs with nothing but sand, sky and water around you.
That contrast works beautifully in photographs.
Traditional Indian wedding photography doesn’t have to look traditional in every photograph.

THE PEOPLE WHO CAME FOR YOU

Some of the most important photographs aren’t portraits of the bride and groom.
They’re the people who traveled to be there.
Parents watching the ceremony.
Friends laughing between events.
Grandparents.
Cousins who haven’t been together for years.
I always leave room for those photographs because twenty years from now, they may mean more than the perfectly posed picture.

LET THE DAY HAPPEN

I don’t believe a wedding should feel like a full-day photo session.
There will be moments when I’ll give you some direction. There will be portraits where we’ll take our time.
But most of the day?
Live it.
Talk to your family.
Laugh with your friends.
Look at each other.
I’ll be watching.
That’s where the photographs usually become interesting.

COLOR. CULTURE. CONNECTION.

Indian weddings give me an incredible visual palette to work with.
Rich colors, elaborate fabrics, gold jewelry, flowers and traditional clothing all photograph beautifully — but the photographs shouldn’t become just a collection of pretty details.
The people have to be there.
The relationships have to be there.
Otherwise it’s just a very expensive dress hanging on a hanger.

THE LITTLE THINGS YOU WILL FORGET

Years from now, you may remember the ceremony.
You may remember the music.
You will probably remember who cried.
But there are hundreds of little things your memory won’t keep.
The exact way your dress looked.
Your mother’s hands.
The jewelry.
Your husband’s expression before the ceremony.
The people who were there.
That’s why I photograph the details too.

ONE DAY.
A LIFETIME OF LOOKING BACK.

AND THEN… THE BEACH.

One of the reasons I love photographing weddings at the Harbor Beach Marriott is that you don’t have to choose between a traditional wedding and a South Florida wedding.
You can have both.
Beautiful Indian wedding traditions surrounded by family — followed by photographs barefoot on the beach with the Atlantic behind you.
The light changes.
The clothes move in the wind.
The whole atmosphere changes.
And suddenly the wedding photographs look like they could only have been made in Florida.

YOUR WEDDING. YOUR PEOPLE. YOUR STORY.

My approach to Indian wedding photography is simple: I want you to remember how the day actually felt. The grand moments are important. So are the small ones. And somewhere between the two, I’ll be there with a camera.

Let’s make some memories.
