Key Biscayne Community Church, UCC

This is our church on Key Biscayne!

I just wanted to write quickly about our singers and our chorus at our church.  The chorus and the organist are AMAZING!!! One of our Carlos is one of our singers who happens to sing in the Miami Opera.  He has a voice which makes you shiver during mass.  We are blessed to have such talented artists in our midst.

One of the best aspects of this church is how welcoming everyone is. Everyone wears a wide smile on their face. The spirit of the church is of  genuine kindheartedness. You always know that there is someone there to lend an ear or a shoulder to you even if you are a complete stranger. Children run everywhere and the younger and older generations share stories that allows inter-generational relationships to bloom. The Children’s Mass which begins each Sunday always has lessons that is even appealing to adults. Reverend Bud’s intelligent, humorous and moving  insights into being a better person never leave you untouched.

The church was started in 1953 as the first church on the small island of Key Biscayne.  It is part of the United Church of
Christ
, a major Protestant denomination whose beginnings date back to the Pilgrims and the founding of the USA.
